Famida has always displayed an eye for art, painting, drawing, sketching or simple doodling using creative mediums was her norm. She eventually moved on to working with Makeup as her new medium to help express and create new stories. What started out as a hobby soon became a way of life and profession.
Famida began her career in Leeds working on short films, commercials & corporate projects. In time she was being approached to teach her skills to others and after gaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE – 2006) began to train future aspiring Makeup Artists. The Big Smoke soon beckoned and a move in 2009 became a reality.
Based in London, Famida’s work has seen her establish strong ties in the Fashion, Celebrity & Beauty industry. She is well known for creating classical makeup, effortless skin and strong editorial looks.
A constant presence backstage at London Fashion week, Famida has been a key team member supporting well established industry icons and masters of their trade. From working on shows such as Anya Hindmarch SS16, Gareth Pugh SS17, Vivienne Westwood AW17 to assisting on shoots for iD-Magazine, British Vogue, Vogue Italia, The Sunday Times & Wonderland Magazine.
Her own work has been featured in publications such as; The Telegraph, This Week, Homme Style, GQ Style & ADON Magazine.
