Famida always displayed an eye for art and using creative mediums to express herself. Painting, drawing, sketching or simple doodling were her normal past times. Eventually she channelled this creativity into the Art of using Makeup to help express and create new stories from a blank canvass. What started out as a hobby soon became a way of life and profession.
Famida began her career in Yorkshire working on short films, commercials & corporate projects. She also took on a part-time job at MAC cosmetics to feed her interest of Fashion and it's changing trends. In time she was being approached to teach her skills to others and after gaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) began to train aspiring Makeup Artists at Bradford College.
In 2009, The Big Smoke beckoned and the move opened up newer and firmer roots into working in Fashion alongside great Key artists of the Makeup Industry.
Based in London, Famida’s work has seen her establish strong ties in the Fashion, Celebrity & Beauty industry. She is well known for creating classical makeup, effortless skin and strong editorial looks.
Today her work continues to be inspired by colour, architecture, history and nature. To create emotion and reaction in her work remains core to her work ethic and approach to makeup.
Famida's work has been featured in publications such as; The Telegraph, This Week, L'Officiel Homme Italia, Homme Style, GQ Style, ADON, Wave, Equate, Hunger & KALTBULT magazines.
